Applications
Delta Nema Type 12 Enclosures are designed to house electrical components, such as terminal blocks, controls, and instruments. These enclosures provide protection from dirt, dust, oil, and water.

Construction
Two Door Floor-Mounted Enclosures -- Catalog Number D554428N12DD is made of 14 gauge steel. All other enclosures are made of 12 gauge steel, except when A = 72º the back is made of 10 gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded and ground. A neoprene cover gasket is attached with an oil-resistant adhesive. Because of the construction of the overlapping doors there is no need for a center post. A 3-point latching mechanism with a key locking handle holds the doors securely closed. Each door may be removed by pulling the hinge pin. Each enclosure includes a removable print pocket, 12" floor stands, lifting eyes, and body stiffeners. Collar studs are provided for mounting the optional back panels. Panel supports are provided to help in panel installation. There are no holes or knockouts in these enclosures.

Accessories
Back panels are available, but must be ordered separately. Panels are made of 12 gauge steel, except those for 2-door enclosures larger than 54"x24", which are made of 10 gauge steel.

Finish
The standard finish is a white enamel inside and ASA 61 Gray outside over phosphatized surfaces. Panels are white enamel. Additional finishing is required if the enclosure is to be located in a wet area.

Delta can provide to your specifications holes, hubs, louvers, cutouts, knockouts, and many other modifications. Special sizes and construction modifications are also available.
